PCAM/Thinface Summerschool: Surfaces and Interfaces

I. Advances in 2D Materials
II. Thin-Film Solar Cells
III. Photonics/Plasmonics in 2D Materials
IV. Core-Level Spectroscopies

The summer school is organized by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), the Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC), and the Nanoscience Research Center nanoGUNE. The number of participants will be limited to no more than 75-100. The summer school will be held in a seaside palace in the scenic city of San Sebastian.

Scientific committee: Mato Knez (nanoGUNE), Daniel Sanchez-Portal (Materials Phusics Center – CSIC-UPV/EHU), Morten Madsen (University of Southern Denmark), and Thinface PhD students Shashank Harivyasi (Graz University of Technology), Moritz Muller (nanoGUNE and Materials Physics Center), and Weike Wang (nanoGUNE).

SCHOOL NUMERICAL SIMULATION

The school offers an initial training with
4 half-day courses and 3 half days of practicals on Monte Carlo techniques and dynamic molecular calculations ab-initio Density functional theory , quantum Monte Carlo excited states.

School is free. Accommodation and travel are not supported

17th Workshop on Dynamical Phenomena at Surfaces, WDPS17

This workshop has a part dedicated to Thinface topics.
The workshop complements traditional topics for the series (growth, vibrations, surface chemistry…) with timely subjects: this edition, emphasis will be on the properties of hybrid organic-inorganic interfaces.
